The shield of Achilles is one of the most legendary symbols of the Trojan War, carried by the great Greek hero in his duel against Hector, prince of Troy. Before this battle, Achilles had given his armor to his close friend Patroclus, who fell in combat and whose armor was taken by the Trojans. This pendant captures the history and spirit of that epic story in a piece of timeless jewelry.

This exceptional double-sided medallion is a wearable monument to the ultimate warrior culture. At the back side Achilles and Hector in combat with the Troy as a background.

• • About our plating methods on silver 925:

    We add as a standard a heavy coat of .40 microns 18k Gold plating & .25 microns for white and black rhodium plating .
    .40 micro inches is a relatively thick layer of gold plating and will last many years if not a lifetime if you take care of it correctly.
