The front of the medallion presents a powerful, high-relief portrait of Dionysus himself. The god is depicted in classical style, crowned with an abundant laurel and grape wreath. His expression is confident and knowing. In his right hand, he firmly grips a patterned thyrso staff (topped with a stylized pinecone), a symbol of his power and divine frenzy. Behind his left shoulder, a fierce and highly detailed leopard head emerges from the shadows.

Flip the pendant to reveal another detailed high-relief scene. This side presents a complex and harmonious composition of Dionysian symbols. A prominent thyrso staff is positioned against a field of ancient, swirling vineyard vines and grape clusters.

About our plating methods on silver 925:
We add as a standard a heavy coat of .40 microns 18k Gold plating & .25 microns for white and black rhodium plating .
.40 micro inches is a relatively thick layer of gold plating and will last many years if not a lifetime if you take care of it correctly.
